The data can be transported to general statistical programs, such as Excel, SPSS and SAS.
The VBS package consists of 3 parts:
FoodGroup is a utility to organize the foods in different food groups. Food groups are used with Orion.
TopNut creates a top-list of foods which contribute the most to the intake of energy or a certain nutrient.
VBS Komeet
Komeet is an interactive data-entry and nutrition calculation program. The program is dynamic and takes in account the dimensions of the VBS food database being used.
Main features of Komeet
VBS Manager
VBS Manager is used to create, add and maintain data in a VBS food database.
It is also capable to modify the structure of an existing database.
A VBS database contains information like:
You can easily switch to another database within VBS Manager, Komeet and other VBS programs
